Learned something NEW!

After spending over an hour copying and pasting all these little hearts one at a time for this page, I learned a wonderful tip from Lady Shannon at http://ladyshannonmemoriesmadeeasy.blogspot.com/2008/12/children-papers.html who makes the cutest papers.

She told me to:

"Get your image that you want to use as a background. I make mine 1.50inch - 2 inch. I click on the tab marked "EDIT"scroll down to "DEFINE PATTERN". That should pop up a box and hit ok. Once there just open your pattern pallet and it should be the last one in the list."

So using her instructions, I created this new hearts page. WOW, it was fast! It took about 3 minutes to create this page and it is actually all uniform! Thank you Lady Shannon!!!

Now I look forward to creating many more papers using this handy tip. Now I just have to learn how to put them all in a file for sharing.

January Calendar page

I have been having fun experimenting with Photoshop Elements 7 program and came up with a January Calendar page, using my favorite dolls, Ann Estelle's and Sophie. They are enjoying a wintery January day in the snow. Of course I had to redo the page once I had I finished, because I forgot and put January 2008 on it. I haven't figured out what I will do with these pages once I have finished, but I am sure having fun playing with it.

Noah's ark

I have been working all evening on a scrapbook element. It is an Ark from Noah's ark. Next I will be doing the animals. I feel like it is taking forever to build my ark and get it loaded with animals. LOL I don't know how people do it who put out a freebie each day. Anyway, when the ark and animals and papers are finished then I will have to figure out how to use one of the web sharing programs to let others use it. So many things to learn......

I know it is late now beacuse I am getting loopy. I put Travis' family in the ark to see how they look. Sorry, Janell, that is the only picture I could find of you both. I will change it when I find another. But I do think it turned out pretty cute.

Digital Scrapbooking Grandchildren

I am learning a new hobby, Digital Scrapbooking. It is much more fun for me than regular scrapbooking and takes a fraction of the time. One thing I want to learn to do is create my on graphics for the pages. These are my son, Christopher's children, when we last went to visit them in September. They are great children and we had a fun time!

Friday, Vacation Time!

Today we drove up to Utah to visit our grandchildren and Fred's Dad. It has been very interesting this trip. I was able to be online the whole way up. I have become addicted to the digital scrap booking phenomenon and spent the whole day arranging and uploading fun things to make pages with. I am having so much fun with the silly uploads that I have no time for actually making the pages. HAHAHA Obsessive compulsive, anyone?

Anyway, I hope to post some of the pages I make here and some of the other fun things I am working on. I love to do print minis and paper modeling and designing paperdolls. I hope to be able to do all these things on the computer, one day soon. And YES Karen, I need to finish my book. Sooooo just updating and then getting back to work.
